About this stay
A riverside homestay in Tavira's old quarter, with a courtyard and roof terrace.
Tavira River House is a traditional townhouse on the banks of the Gilão river, just across the Roman bridge from the main square. Our hosts Luís and Marta live on the ground floor and share the house with two guest rooms upstairs.
Both rooms have high ceilings, painted wooden shutters and their own bathroom. There is a shared kitchen, a courtyard with a lemon tree, and a roof terrace with views over the church towers.
Tavira's restaurants, castle garden and market hall are all within a five-minute walk. The ferry to Ilha de Tavira leaves from the riverfront nearby.
