This one-bedroom flat is a practical base for anyone who wants long, empty beaches. It sits in a modern building near the Quatro Águas ferry, which takes you across to Ilha de Tavira in a few minutes.

The flat has a double bedroom, a shower room, a small kitchen and a living room that opens onto a balcony with lagoon views. It is light, tidy and recently refurbished.

The island has eleven kilometres of sand, a couple of beach restaurants and very little else. Tavira's old town is a twenty-minute walk or a short bike ride along the river.
