About this stay
A family-run quinta among fig trees, with home-baked breakfasts and a quiet garden.
Quinta das Figueiras is a small farmhouse a few kilometres inland from Lagos, run by Rita and her family. The two guest bedrooms open onto a garden of fig, olive and carob trees, and the only sounds at night are crickets.
Breakfast is served on the terrace most mornings, with eggs from the quinta, local honey and bread from the village bakery. Guests share a well-equipped kitchen and a lounge with a wood burner for cooler months.
It is an easy ten-minute drive to Lagos and the beaches, and a good starting point for walks in the Barão de São João forest. Rita is happy to share her list of favourite tascas.
